Italy stands up to France's powerful duo of Cabernet & Merlot in a tasting of some iconic wine regions. We'll discover Sangiovese, one of Italy's most interesting and varied grapes. Its various expressions bring everything from the earthiness of Chianti to oak aged Brunellos. The intersection of Sangiovese with Cabernet (and other Bordeaux varieties) is where it gets interesting with Super Tuscans blurring the lines on what classic Tuscany means.
