Aged partially in very active sherry casks, Speyburn successfully manages to blend in rich sherried notes without masking over its delicate distillate of floral and orchard fruit notes so characteristic of Speyside. A fantastic whisky for the whisky drinker with a penchant for a whisky loaded with baking spices, sultana, fig, tobacco leaf, and walnut on the front of the palate, yet with an elegant freshness of citrus and apple on the finish.
