A textbook Pauillac from the fabulous 2016 vintage, this Haut-Batailley showcases beautiful notes of cassis, blackcurrants, new leather, dried tobacco, and pencil shavings on the palate. A lovely wisp of violet will meet your nose after decanting. Drinking superbly now, but will keep until 2040.
