Marguerite Haut-Medoc

From a tiny plot of reddish gravel opposite Ch Cantemerle, you get a wine that is textbook Cabernet Sauvignon from Bordeaux. Following the trend of fermenting in concrete tanks before barrel ageing, there are aromas of pencil shavings, tobacco and cedar that give way to ripe cassis and grippy tannins that do soften with a bit of air.
