From a small winery southeast of Vienna comes this very serious Zweigelt which underwent 10 months of ageing in used French oak to give the wine more depth and complexity. A wine with a gorgeous purplish ruby colour, it delivers a deep perfume of ripe black cherry with enticing violet accents. Whilst a tad grippy on the palate, the palate does have more richness than most Zweiglets and the finish is long and peppery. |O|
