Quite sweet upfront, but with great acidity. Pretty dense, but totally open and inviting, with a very broad, smooth, balanced palate, some fine, significant grip giving a little structural edge. Although it's seen long ageing, the American oak vats are very old and very large. Perfect current drinking.
